Abdul Malek on the left, completed France to England in 13h 42m on the 11th Sept 1966.
The man in the middle of the photograph is unknown, the man in the long coat is Abdul’s trainer, Moheen Abdul
He had one unsuccessful swim Sept 14th 1963. He swam for 12hrs. He then remained in England until he succeeded.
