Brenda Fisher & Mr. McNally (her trainer)

Daily Mail Race 1951 Festival of Britain Year. Brenda Fisher winner of the Ladies Race in the Daily Mail Race of 1951, is being tucked up in bed by her trainer, Mr. McNally of Grimsby after the race.

At the presentation ceremony Brenda Fisher was awarded a Festival of Britain Silver cup, which was presented by Mr. Stuart Maclean, the Managing Director of the Daily Mail, Brenda also received a winners cheque for £1000 and one other fine silver trophy sent by the President of the Argentine Repulic, General Peron and Senora Eva Peron, whose portraits they bore in medallion form. This was one of two trophies sent to be presented to the first Man & Lady home  from Great Britain.
