Australian Olympic swimmer from Melbourne. Took part in Long Distance Swimming Championship on River Thames in 1908, aged 17, but got cramp. Olympic swimmer London 1908. Also River Avon swim in 1909. Held 15 world records at one time. Was on the Olympic Organising Committee 1949-1951

He toured England in 1910, doing exhibitions and competitive races. Another contender to attempt the Channel, he doesnt seem to have commenced preparations at any point
