Marilyn Bell - Completed Channel Swim

Marilyn Bell of Canada swam from France to England on July 31st. Her time was 14hrs 36mins. Her coach was Gus Ryder. Marilyn completed her swim at the Warren, Folkestone.According to the Channel Swimming Association records Marilyn was the 32nd person to complete the swim from France to England.

Pop (Jack / John) Burvill (Burwill) acted as a pilot on many Channel swimming escort and support boats.
