Eugene's Mermaids Tour Bus

Eugene’s Mermaids Photograph (copy) Image shows Eugene’s Mermaids, the first water ballet troupe in England. Channel swimmer Sunny Lowry was a member and can be seen seated in the centre on the roof of the bus. Here they are taking part in Cleethorpes carnival, during their tour of England.

The troupe was part of an advertising campaign to promote Eugene Ltd of London’s Permanent Wave hair-styling.
