Elaine Gay and Niomi Martin on Captain Hutchiinson’s ship “The Invicta” after her successfull France to England swim in a new record time of 10hrs 24mins. She had previously failed on two other attempts.
She held the record in Windermere in a time of 4hrs. 39mins.
