The Burvill's Pet Smoking Jackdaw, Athol Terrace

Pet Jackdaw, pet of Rose Burwill (nee Whiting) Pop’s wife, smoking a Churchman No 1 at their house in Athol Terrace, Dover. Pop (Jack/John) Burvill (Burwill), was a prolific angler and a pilot on many escort or support boats for Channel swimmers.In the background there is a large light coloured ornament of a swan containing flowers.
