Ted Temme arrives at Charing Cross after his successful swim

Ted Temme became the sixth person to swim the English Channel in 1927 from France to England, 14 hrs. 29mins. and in 1934 he swam from England to France in 15hrs. 34 mins. He was the fourth person to swim in that direction and the first person to swim in both directions; the starter of “the jelly fish club” and the first “double crosser “.
