She was very cold. Rough conditions, wind at times was 20 miles per hour. Most Easterly point allowed by rules of Dover Town cup. This was an attempt for the Dover Gold Cup. On board; Mr Corson, Norman Derham, Mr Frank Perks, Mr Fuller Hazleden The Press Association’s Deal Correspondent and a Cinematograph operator, Mr John Hayward, swimming Corespondent of the Daily Sketch. She swam France to England last year in a time of 15 hrs 28 mins She swam around Manhattan Island in 1921 time 15 hours 57 mins. Swam 160 miles in the Hudson river, from Albany to Newyork in 63 hours. September 2 to the 8th 1921. She swam 11 ½ hrs each day. She received a medal from the King off Denmark in 1919 for Life Saving. Awarded the Carnigie Hero Trophy in 1920. Swam Dover to Ramsgate 6 hours 20 minutes.
