Sarah and Carole Hunt were the first twins to swim the Channel. In 1988 they swam together from England to France in a time of 9 hours 29 minutes.

They swam from England to France on the 6th August 1988. They both swam together and finished in the same time of 9 hours & 29 mins. They swam from Shakespeare Beach and landed on the point of Cap-gris nez.
