Nicholas, Cynthia 'Cindy'

Cynthia Maria “Cindy” Nicholas (1957 – 2016) was a long distance swimmer and a politician in Ontario, Canada. She was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1987 to 1990.

Cindy Nicholas received a Rolex watch in 1981 for the fastest crossing with a time of 8hrs 29mins (the first leg of a two-way swim)

Cindy swam in all, 19 crossings, which included 9 solo swims & 5 2-way swims. (Only swimmer ever to swim 5 two-way). Queen of the Channel from 1978 to 1992
